The Dietary Manager's Course is offered through Blinn College and is approved through the national organization, the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals - ANFP, formerly (DMA-Dietary Manager's Association).  Only classes approved through ANFP have direct access to ANFP resources and provide a direct path for students to sit for the Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) exam after course completion.

  Students must work in a healthcare kitchen and must spend a minimum of 50 hours with a Registered Dietitian.  Preceptor hours must be spent face to face in an educational situation with a qualified preceptor (RD for 2 years, at least 1 year LTC experience)

    Students may chart in the medical record and may sign off on the MDS at the discretion of the Administrator or DON.

    All CMS surveyed facilities  required to have a Dietary Manager who has completed the DM course should contact Blinn College to obtain a verification of enrollment to serve as your plan of correction.
